Keystone Church
08.17.12 Block Party

When I was asked to take over some gigs for my homeboy, DJ Drue Mitchell, (who was moving to Cali) in the lobby of a local church, I had no idea what was in store for me and my family.  That was 2010, and Keystone Church is still bringing me in cut records to this day.  I often say, "...it's like I have a residency at a church."  It feels that way.  DJ's take pride in there club and stay focused on keeping it fresh for the cliental.  Slowly but surely that is how I've come to think my DJ responsibilities of Keystone Church.

But even outside of DJing, Keystone has made a great impact on my personal life.  My family and I have become regulars.  The Author of creativity has used this place to lead us into an exciting, new, rich stage in life. This place is way more than a residency.  The people are now our friends.  Some are teachers and mentors. Some kick it with us on the weekend.  While there are others we hope to inspire.

If you're reading this and live in the area (map below) you should come and kick it with me and my family at Keystone.  I'll be posting my gigs there more regularly.  But, regardless if I'm in the cut, check it out for yourself.

Times: Saturday 6:00 PM, Sunday 9:15 AM & 11:00 AM

I've been spinning Stalley's slick banger "Slapp" for a minuet.  Peep the video below.  #ActLikeYouKnow

JustMe
New Video "No Lie" feat. DJ Sean P

Peep out an emcee's emcee, Just Me (@JustMeofSI) of Scribbling Idiots. Phony rappers get no mercy on this joint. I was happy to get busy with the cuts on such a dope jam. Fellow SI member, Jaq, is on the beat, banging out the sinister backdrop.  You get the full 360 on this one.

Just Me's new album "Full Disclosure" is available on iTunes, Amazon & Bandcamp via illect records.
